Parent Partnernship
At our multicultural preschool in Brighton and Hove, we value strong partnernships with parents and families. We believe that working together creates the best outcomes for children, and we welcome input from families of all cultures and backgrounds. Through open communication, regular updates, and involvement in activities, we ensure parents feel included and supported in their child’s learning journey.

To keep parents connected, we use Tapestry, an online platform that provides regular updates on their child’s progress through photos, videos, and observations. This ensures parents stay informed and engaged in their child’s learning journey, fostering open communication and a collaborative approach to their development.
NEW Tax Free childcare
This is an online account for working parents to help pay for childcare, which is topped up by the government. For every £8 that you put in, the government will make a payment of £2 to a maximum of £2,000 per child, per year, or £4,000 if your child is disabled.
You can have an account for each of your children up to age 12 to pay your childcare provider. You cannot claim both Tax Free Childcare and Universal Credit or the Childcare Element of Working Tax Credit.

Settling in
Starting nursery can be an emotional time for both children and parents, but a thoughtful settling-in process can make all the difference.
At Amigos, we’re happy to take the lead or follow your child’s cues—some children benefit from a gradual approach, where parents stay a little longer during the early days, while others settle in more quickly. Our flexible approach allows children to explore their new environment and build trusting relationships with staff at their own pace.

We also understand that this can be a big step for parents, so we offer ongoing support, reassurance, and open communication throughout the transition. We welcome any questions or concerns you may have. For children preparing to move on to Reception, we also provide extra support to help them feel confident and ready for their next stage.
