In response to recent government updates regarding Early Years Funding (EFYE), some providers have introduced restrictions on session availability and additional charges for funded places. At Amigos, we remain committed to accessible and inclusive childcare.
We do not limit the number of sessions available to families using funded hours, and we do not charge for extras such as snacks, nappies, or materials. To help support the running of the preschool, we kindly request voluntary donations, which are outlined on our invoices.
We are looking for parents to join our committee!
Amigos Pre School is a charity organisation run by a management committee of parents and volunteers.
The committee enables parents and the local community to play a major role in the decision making that is involved in running the preschool.
Without the committee, the preschool cannot operate.
All parents are invited to join the committee.
By encouraging understanding and respect of other people in our community, we hope to promote a more tolerant and harmonious society. We have welcomed Indian, Arab, Greek, Japanese, African, French, Brazilian, Italian, German & Polish children as well as those of British origin.
Songs, stories, food and shared festivals and customs have been explored and enjoyed by all. In such a richly diverse environment, the children experience new ideas, develop skills, gain confidence, improve communication skills, make friends and learn from each other. Most importantly, they have fun!
